Annita Apostolidou Platis – My Soul Kingdom artworks selected for Wet Paint 2026 international juried exhibition
Two works from Annita Apostolidou Platis’ My Soul Kingdom series, Celestial Aura – The Divine Display and The Noble Messenger – Insight and Ingenuity, have been selected for Wet Paint 2026, an international juried exhibition presented by Colors of Humanity Art Gallery.
Running from September 1–30, 2026, the exhibition brings together 39 accepted entries by artists from across the United States and six other countries, including Greece.
Created during a formative period in Apostolidou Platis’ artistic development, My Soul Kingdom approaches animals and birds as symbolic and archetypal presences. Through layered acrylic, impasto, raised applications, metallic details, and ornament, the series explores ideas of intuition, transformation, resilience, and the relationship between the visible and the unseen.
In Celestial Aura – The Divine Display, the peacock becomes an emblem of renewal and inner radiance, while The Noble Messenger – Insight and Ingenuity explores the fox as an archetype of perception, intelligence, and adaptability.
Their inclusion in Wet Paint 2026 brings these two works into an international dialogue centered on contemporary approaches to painting, materiality, and artistic expression.
