I am very honoured and proud to be receiving this recognition from the Accademia Italia In Arte Nel Mondo with the award "POSEIDONE Il Dio del Mare della Mitologia Greca".

The Academic committee that evaluated the artworks of my new collection called “Words”, stated that my artistic work meets a providential need of Art history! The Greek Mythology, as also the history of Rome and Ancient Egypt, have a powerful influence on my new collection of artworks.

This recognition is very important to me. I feel stronger more determined and it encourages me to continue to perform at a high standard.

Annita Apostolidou Platis receives the prestigious “HERMES, il messaggero degli Dei” award from the Accademia Italia In Arte Nel Mondo, recognizing her as the Greek artist connecting ancient civilizations through the modern language of art.

I am proud for being honored by the Accademia Italia in Arte Nel Mondo with the award "HERMES, il messaggero degli Dei".

Among other renowned artists who were also awarded, I was the only Greek artist that through my artwork I represented the power of the culture in Ancient Greece and Ancient Rome, including also elements from the Philosophy and the Mythology of other Ancient civilizations.

The Academic committee that evaluated my artwork, which comes from projects already demonstrated in international exhibitions and art catalogues, stated that my artistic work meets a providential need of art history!

I would like to thank the Honorary Committee of the Accademia Italia Arte nel Mondo, who in collaboration with their art experts and analysts of the department of Art Theory and History of Art, they recognized my collection of artworks as the connection between ancient civilizations through the modern side of Art.

This is truly an important scene of my career.

The Princess and the Red Goldfish explores perception, transformation, and renewal through a surreal fairy-tale lens. Blending myth and emotion, the piece traces a symbolic passage from shadow to light — a meditation on resilience, self-discovery, and spiritual rebirth.

“In this piece, I sought to merge the fragility of a princess’s gaze with the mythic symbolism of the goldfish — a creature that swims between illusion and truth. The work reflects my vision of transformation: how vulnerability can be both a prison and a threshold to freedom.”
