Art doesn’t begin at the moment of creation. It begins long before—often in silence.

For me, it starts with study. With reading. With tracing the roots of mythology, decoding symbols from ancient psychology, and immersing myself in the language of archetypes. It begins with questions: What do we carry in our shadows, and what does the light reveal? What does an image mean—not just visually, but symbolically, culturally, and emotionally?

My work in The Luminous Abyss is not just digital collage—it’s excavation. It’s a layered visual narrative crafted through mixed media, myth, and memory. Each piece you see, glowing with color and symbol, is the result of sustained labor: research, sketching, erasing, building, and beginning again.

This is not instant art.

There are no filters that simulate intention.

No shortcuts that replace soul.

Before any digital composition takes form, there are pages of notes. There are failed drafts. Long walks with unanswered questions. I sketch not only with pencil, but with vision, emotion, and deep attention. Every element—whether acrylic stroke, scanned textile, photo fragment, or digital trace—is placed with purpose. Nothing is accidental. Even a lampshade holds a story. Even a shadow has a memory.

This is how I work: with process, with patience, with progression. I build my collages the way one builds a poem or a garment—layer by layer, symbol by symbol. It begins with hand-drawn ideas and evolves into complex, digital compositions that carry both image and meaning.

Mixed media digital collage is a demanding medium. It requires not only technical fluency, but also narrative instinct, visual literacy, and emotional endurance. What may appear “assembled” is in fact architected—a tension between texture and concept, where hundreds of micro-decisions quietly shape what the viewer finally sees.

When you look at one of my works, you’re not just seeing an image. You’re witnessing a process. You’re seeing the trace of revisions, the ghosts of deleted layers, the structure beneath the glow. You’re seeing a professional practice rooted in discipline and growth—vision shaped over years of artistic study, experimentation, and cross-disciplinary exploration.

True vision comes from within. It can’t be rushed. It can’t be reproduced. Art like this is earned—through thought, time, and soul.

The glow you see on screen? It’s built by hand, by mind, by memory.

Curated as part of Sfumato’s commitment to showcasing bold, narrative-driven contemporary art, Legends – The Code explores femininity through a series of deeply textured acrylic and digital collage works. Each piece emerges from a black canvas—a symbolic void—transformed into a radiant space of rebirth, resilience, and sacred transformation.

The exhibition speaks to the collective mythology of womanhood. Figures draped in symbolic fabrics and adorned with mythic codes embody a spectrum of archetypes: the warrior, the healer, the oracle. My visual language—rich in crimson, gold, and oceanic hues—draws from the spiritual, the sartorial, and the subconscious.

Art, for me, is an alchemical act. It’s where personal memory, myth, and the sacred feminine meet. Through techniques that blend fine art with fashion and esoteric symbolism, I aim to create spaces that do not just depict stories—but awaken them.

It's been an exciting journey this year, and I am thrilled to share the latest updates with you! From new collections to prestigious exhibitions, I’ve been working passionately on several projects that I can't wait to share.

Recent Highlights:

✨ Gold Award at Camelback Gallery's Autumn Festival of Art 2024 for my artwork "Copper Reverie in the Fall". A huge honor to be recognized among such talented artists!

✨ BCAF Art and Poetry Book: I contributed my art and poetry to the Barbagelata Contemporary Art Foundation’s Art and Poetry Book, celebrating the timeless echoes of feminine power.

✨ New Collections: My latest series, The Seasons, invites viewers to experience the cyclical nature of time, change, and femininity through art. Each piece is a celebration of transformation, from the depths of winter to the blooming spring.

✨ Essay Published: I’m incredibly honored to have my essay “The Legacy of Myth in Art: A Historical Reflection Through 'Legends – The Code'” published in the Barbagelata Contemporary Art Foundation's Fall/Winter 2024 Digital Issue. This essay explores the cultural and historical reinterpretation of female mythological figures in art and their continued influence on contemporary womanhood.

✨ "Legends – The Code" Series: This series highlights powerful mythological women and their profound impact through time. It delves deep into the enduring influence of these figures, merging ancient narratives with modern artistic expression. Be sure to explore the pieces from this collection.

✨ Certified in Art Curation & Exhibition Management: Recognizing proficiency in managing and curating artistic exhibitions, I received certification from the Visual Artists Association. This course has sharpened my curatorial skills and further deepened my understanding of art curation.

✨ Future Plans: I am also gearing up for upcoming exhibitions and new collections that will explore the ever-changing nature of human expression. Stay tuned!

Thrilled to share that my artwork Copper Reverie in the Fall has been awarded the Gold Award at Camelback Gallery’s Autumn Festival of Art 2024—an international juried showcase of 80 artists from 13 countries.

🌟 I am beyond thrilled and deeply honored to receive the Gold Award at Camelback Gallery's Autumn Festival of Art 2024! 🎉🍂

This recognition means so much to me, and I’m incredibly grateful to have my piece "Copper Reverie in the Fall" showcased among the work of so many talented artists from across the globe. A huge thank you to Camelback Gallery for this incredible opportunity, and to the jurors—Filipe Assunção, Holly Cannon, and Kathy Paulus—for their expertise and thoughtful selection process.

This exhibition represents 80 artists from 13 countries, each bringing their unique perspective and creativity to the event. The selection process for the exhibition was based on the theme, the quality of work, and technical skill, making this award even more meaningful. It motivates me to continue creating, exploring new ways to express myself, and sharing my passion for art with the world.

I am truly inspired and looking forward to what lies ahead on this artistic journey. Thank you for all the love and support! 💖

I am so honored and proud to share that my essay, 'The Legacy of Myth in Art: A Historical Reflection Through 'Legends – The Code,' has been officially published by the Barbagelata Contemporary Art Foundation in their Fall/Winter 2024 Digital Issue. ✨

In this essay, I explore the cultural and historical reinterpretation of mythological women, celebrating their power, transformation, and autonomy across time. It’s a journey that connects the past to modern struggles and triumphs of women, showcasing how these timeless stories continue to inspire and shape our narrative today. The essay titled "The Legacy of Myth in Art: A Historical Reflection Through 'Legends – The Code” and its Analysis took several months to reach its final form, starting with my "Links" collection and continuing with a deep influence from my recent "Legends – The Code" series of artworks. These collections focus on mythological women, with narratives filled with strength, resilience, and influence that resonate through the ages. Following my previous collection "Links," which explored the interconnectedness of women, nature, mythology, and history, this new series delves further into the personalities of legendary women who shaped cultural narratives about femininity and bravery.

I am deeply grateful to the BCAF Art Foundation for their trust in me and for providing me with the opportunity to contribute to this important dialogue in the art world.
