🌟 I am beyond thrilled and deeply honored to receive the Gold Award at Camelback Gallery's Autumn Festival of Art 2024! 🎉🍂

This recognition means so much to me, and I’m incredibly grateful to have my piece "Copper Reverie in the Fall" showcased among the work of so many talented artists from across the globe. A huge thank you to Camelback Gallery for this incredible opportunity, and to the jurors—Filipe Assunção, Holly Cannon, and Kathy Paulus—for their expertise and thoughtful selection process.

This exhibition represents 80 artists from 13 countries, each bringing their unique perspective and creativity to the event. The selection process for the exhibition was based on the theme, the quality of work, and technical skill, making this award even more meaningful. It motivates me to continue creating, exploring new ways to express myself, and sharing my passion for art with the world.

I am so honored and proud to share that my essay, 'The Legacy of Myth in Art: A Historical Reflection Through 'Legends – The Code,' has been officially published by the Barbagelata Contemporary Art Foundation in their Fall/Winter 2024 Digital Issue. ✨

In this essay, I explore the cultural and historical reinterpretation of mythological women, celebrating their power, transformation, and autonomy across time. It’s a journey that connects the past to modern struggles and triumphs of women, showcasing how these timeless stories continue to inspire and shape our narrative today. The essay titled "The Legacy of Myth in Art: A Historical Reflection Through 'Legends – The Code” and its Analysis took several months to reach its final form, starting with my "Links" collection and continuing with a deep influence from my recent "Legends – The Code" series of artworks. These collections focus on mythological women, with narratives filled with strength, resilience, and influence that resonate through the ages. Following my previous collection "Links," which explored the interconnectedness of women, nature, mythology, and history, this new series delves further into the personalities of legendary women who shaped cultural narratives about femininity and bravery.

I am deeply grateful to the BCAF Art Foundation for their trust in me and for providing me with the opportunity to contribute to this important dialogue in the art world.

"As a multidisciplinary artist with a background in painting, exhibition essaying, and design, I offer a unique perspective on the intersections of art and fashion. With extensive experience in haute couture and jewelry design, my artistic journey enriches my view of fashion's evolving canvas.

I remain deeply connected to Milan, having lived there during my fashion studies. Reflecting on the shows, I was particularly captivated by the Dolce & Gabbana Spring/Summer 2025 collection at Milan Fashion Week.

Set against the backdrop of Milan's historic Metropol Theatre, Dolce & Gabbana's "Italian Beauty" collection was not just a fashion show; it was a cinematic homage to the golden age of Italian glamour. The grandeur of the venue, complete with a dramatic staircase and expansive mirrors, set the stage for a collection that perfectly married classic allure with modern femininity.

Embracing a theme of empowered femininity, Dolce & Gabbana masterfully blended vintage influences with avant-garde designs. The collection revisited and revitalized retro aesthetics, featuring high-heeled ballerinas and pin-up inspirations making a striking comeback. The reimagined 1950s bra, paired with translucent materials, sculpted a bold yet elegant silhouette that highlights the brand’s signature blend of seduction and sophistication.

Floral motifs and striped suits presented a fluid interplay of androgyny and femininity. Details such as satin transparency and black ribbon head accessories further accentuated the theme of retro revival. Each model's uniform blonde curly wig focused attention squarely on the craftsmanship of each piece, emphasizing Dolce & Gabbana’s meticulous attention to detail.

Significantly, the show's atmosphere was charged with an aura reminiscent of Madonna—an icon known for her revolutionary impact on music and fashion. The music, deeply influenced by her iconic imagery and style, contributed to the strong, provocative ambiance that Dolce & Gabbana is renowned for.

In the final part of Bridging Worlds, Annita Apostolidou Platis reflects on the fusion of art and poetry—encouraging creators to embrace complexity, uncharted territories, and the transformative interplay of words and images.

A Cinematic Journey Through Time and Art - an artistic journey through cities

An intimate reflection on how cities become muses—each one a cinematic chapter shaping Annita Apostolidou Platis’s artistic vision, where memory, time, and creativity converge.

As an artist, my journey through inspirational cities, unfolds like a cinematic tableau, each scene rich with intimate moments and expansive inspirations. I have some specific cities that I separate from others.

Inside these cities, I am a traveler not just through spaces but through time, each visit a brushstroke on the canvas of my life. They are not just places but pivotal chapters in my ongoing story, each a muse to my art, each a mirror to my soul.

I amidst the flux of time and the stillness of memories, I craft my narratives, I take notes for my next artistic projects, because time is a river that fluids inside of me, unfurls its silent wings, whispering secrets of what was and weaving the infinite tapestries of what’s yet to be.

Ως καλλιτέχνις, το ταξίδι μου μέσα από εμπνευσμένες πόλεις αναδύεται σαν κινηματογραφικό ταμπλό, κάθε σκηνή γεμάτη με οικείες στιγμές και απέραντες έμπνευσεις. Μέσα σε αυτές τις πόλεις - έχω πάντα κάποιες που ξεχωρίζω - ταξιδεύω όχι μόνο μέσα στον χώρο αλλά και στον χρόνο, κάθε επίσκεψη αποτελεί μία πινελιά στον καμβά της ζωής μου. Δεν είναι απλώς τόποι, αλλά καίρια κεφάλαια στη διαρκή ιστορία μου, κάθε μία μούσα της τέχνης μου, κάθε μία καθρέφτης της ψυχής μου.

Μέσα στη ροή του χρόνου και την ηρεμία των αναμνήσεων, διαμορφώνω τις αφηγήσεις μου, σημειώνω ιδέες για τα επόμενα καλλιτεχνικά μου έργα, γιατί ο χρόνος είναι ένας ποταμός που ρέει μέσα μου, αναπτύσσοντας σιωπηλά τα φτερά του, ψιθυρίζοντας μυστικά του παρελθόντος και υφαίνοντας την απεραντοσύνη του μέλλοντος.
